Automated drone features are fairly new. A fair bit has been promised by different manufacturers in the last couple of years. Seeing a few of those companies have since died I will leave it for DJI to set the example.
When automated features came out like the idea of following a target or flying itself to a point I scoffed at the idea. Then I started to think about it. Currently I’m operating a DJI Phantom 4 Pro which is the latest release from DJI so should have the best offerings in terms of automated features. So here’s where I stand. Will they work in real world circumstances?
I shoot a fair bit of surfing so naturally I wanted to find out how well it would do. I have a lot of tinkering to do but I feel this may work very well. Here’s the video
Over the next wee while I’m going to put it to the test without my control and of course with. I’m certainly seeing some advantages at this stage.
